Keratosis

keratosis.jpg
Seborrheic Keratoses are benign wart like growths in the outer layer of the skin. There may be just one lesion, although they typically occur in clusters. They are usually mid to dark brown but can sometimes be a tan colour. Some may be small however others can grow larger than 2cm.

They most commonly occur on  the face neck, chest and back, and although we are uncertain as to the cause, they typically run in families, so are likely to be inherited.

Treatment

Cryotherapy is an advanced freezing innovation that is a fast, effective and safe solution for removal of Keratosis. Liquid nitrogen is applied to the lesion using a special spray gun. The frozen skin lesion will turn white, following with a scab, and will then fall off between and 4 weeks later. Sometimes a second treatment will be needed.
